Recorded at the Northland Ballroom in Iola, Wisconsin during one of the regular Wednesday night sessions featuring local 'slopgrass' legends Sloppy Joe and friends. This is just part of the evening's music, during which I sat in on saz.
"You Win Again" is the old Hank Williams song.
"The L&M Don't Stop Here Anymore" was originally done by Johnny Cash (and more recently by Michelle Shocked).
"Why Should I Have to Worry", "The Hog of the Foresaken" and "The Moon Man" are all Michael Hurley songs (the latter based on someone else's poem).
"Love Grown Cold" was written by John Hartford.
"The Birthday Song" is of unknown origin.
"Roly-Poly" is by Bob Wills.
"Rat's Ass" is a Sloppy Joe original, and the rest are (as far as I know) traditional.
